Q I've got very long straight hair and have always used a wash out conditioner, I've recently been reading about leave in conditioners, what is the difference?

A The only difference is that leave in conditioners are more versatile than wash out ones as they can also be used to style your hair. It is great to slick down straight hair and define curly hair.  They are also great for summer as they help to protect sun and chlorine damage.

Q My lipstick never seems to last more than a few hours, I always have to keep re-applying. What is the best way to make it last?

A For long lasting lip colour it is important that you create a good base on which to apply the colour.  Fill in the entire lip area with a soft lip soft lip pencil and then apply a powdery matte lipstick, which is longer-lasting than other varieties.  This should do the trick.

Q Where should I apply highlighter on my face?

A Highlighter should be applied to the parts of the face where the sun hits you first.  The top of your cheekbones, the brows bone the tip of your nose, chin and forehead.  These are the main areas which will catch the light.

Q My  skin is very oily and. even though   I use an oil-free foundation, I still have breakouts during the day.  Do you think I should  keep  re-applying powder throughout  the day to mask the problem?

A If  you find that touching up your face with powder doesn't banish the shine, carry some oil blotting sheets with you. Theses are very effective in getting rid of unwanted greasiness.  Try Clinique stay-matte oil blotting sheets it is also worth re-assessing your entire beauty routine.  Make sure it is not just your foundation that is oil-free but also your cleanser and moisturiser.   If your skin is very oily, try skipping moisturiser in the morning and use oil control liquid instead.
